Facebook Pages are just awesome. They are so easy to use, so little effort goes into it and in return we get to build our own fan-base. But one thing erring is that the URL a facebook page gets is quite long.

Change link properties using CSS-basic !

CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets. There's has been css3 too. One of the key features of css is that it changes the properties of our HTML sheet and helps in this way to make great designs. Here we gonna discuss how to change the color of your link.

First Steps:-

How to add favicon to Blogger

When I first started blogging way back in 2008, I found the blogger favicon a clumsy thing. I did'nt tried to remove it first but when my blog started getting visits, I finally helped my blog with a favicon.

Inorder to make a favicon, you have to have an image (.PNG or .JPEG would work, fine). You can create it using old-man  paint or cool guy Photoshop (GIMP can work too). Else, you can generate your own favicon online.

If you have an image, go to IconJ. They allow you to upload your image and convert it to .ico.
After generating or uploading (or converting), select a .ico image hoster. (IconJ provides direct hosting too).

After the two steps, login to Blogger-->Dashboard-->Design-->Edit HTML
Find This (Ctrl+F)

Then paste the code immediately after it (look above). Your favicon would appear.
Both types of code (i.e. x-icon and microsoft.icon) would work.

Firefox Addon of the Day : Greasemonkey

I like Greasemonkey and I hope you like it too. Greasemonkey is an Firefox extension that allows users to install scripts and change the HTML page with the scripts ( augmented browsing ). Greasemonkey scripts are "presistent" meaning they would remain every time on the webpage for the user.

Share the love. Share it. Sharing is sexy. Sharing buttons with this texts have become quite a rage these days. They make your blog look attractive. In some cases, I have seen that they compel the users to come back. Well if you want it on your blog, keep reading.

Well this post is not about that normal smileys that several bloggers post. I always come up with something unusual. This is it. Do you want HD, Graphical, emoticon-cum-smileys. Yes, I've got them and now going to share it.
Download Facemoods.You can search it up on google. Install it. Restart your browser. Now when you open up, a new bar has come. That is the facemoods bar. Now, open up Facebook. And you will see some new bar near the SHARE BUTTON. Select any of the emoticon, you want and share it. It works !!!

Command Prompt tweaks

Command Prompt or cmd can be used full screen. Just when you open it, press Alt+Enter and done. Hope you are able to change the color now. See, my other posts. Wanna edit or create documents just from Command Prompt.
Well, you can do it. Open Command Prompt.
Normally, the root location is:-
C:\Documents and Settings\ // username refers to the name of the profile name.
Change it to the desired directory. For example:-
I want to create a java document in the jdk folder located in the same directory(The one above)
Then type edit .java // Filename can be anything. Let's suppose it is hack and the desired file extension is .java(It can be anything .txt anything.)

The iPad 2:It's not over yet

After the iPad, there's coming the iPad2. iPad which released last year has been termed as the best gadget of 2010. News are that it's brother, iPad2 is coming this year. So, what's new about this ? Well, its an Apple Product. Isn't it enough?
                                                                                                                         Apple has proved that they do the best. If news are to be believed then the new iPad 2 would be cooler. It would have a front-facing camera which the previous one lacked. Powerful processors, iOS 4.3.

Microsoft warns users of IE Bug

Over 900 million users of Internet Explorer have been warned of a serious bug present in all versions of the browser and the its vulnerability to attacks. It could be exploited by hi-tech criminals. 

A attacker could make up a false html-link and somehow convince the user to click on it. Then the attacker would control an un-protected computer.

Microsoft was not able to remove the bug but has issued a fix it security patch and has asked all the users to download that. 

However, Microsoft has said that there has been no news of this bug being used by attackers.

Google Goggles:A sneak-peek into future

Google Google is an application created by Google Inc. It is a futuristic. It can be downloaded for  Android and iPhone. It enables the user to take a picture and send through Goggle's to google and they would tell you what the image is all about. It can even translate the foreign words on an image. It can help you if you are in a foreign land. It takes time according to your net speed. You can view all the specification [here].

It is cool, ultra-smart but a little limited. Hope you like it.

How to change Command Prompt color !

If you are an Windows User, then you surely have used Command Prompt(cmd). Now you can change the background color of it. In my next post, I would teach some codes of it.
Now to change the color. There are 2 ways :-
1.) Right-click on cmd icon>select properties>select color. Done! easy..
2.)Open cmd and type color 1a( can be 1c, 1b, 2a,2c). To know the codes>type color and hit enter, the codes would show up.:) Simple too!!

Facebook to end ?

An internet news site, Weekly World said in a post that the Facebook is going to end on January 15th. Reading this many users became horrified. It said that Mark Zuckenburg had himself said that managing facebook had become too stressful and that he wanted to lead a normal life. But who would end a $50billion enterprise.
Reacting to such news, Mark himself clarified that this news was a complete hoax and that how could he even think of ending such an huge enterprise. This has relieved millions of Facebook users.

Make your own Operating System !

Mac. Windows. Ubuntu. All these are wonderful operating systems. I too wanted to create my own operating system. And I have created one too. I have named it Korbo OS and very soon version 1.0.0 would be out.( I would place the download link).
I will make a new post with the download link and all the features you will get if you download it.
  Well back to the post. You can create your own OS. And too add on it. You can create it without any basic knowledge of programming. How?
Well these are two sites with which you too can create your OS. They are [CustomNImbleX] and [SuseStudios].
How do they work ?
CustomNimbleX. If you are using this, then you need not create an account. You just keep on selecting the features and applications that you want in your OS and it keeps on getting added. However, after 12 hours the download gets deleted.
SuseStudios. If you are this , you have to create an account. Its free and takes minimum time. Then you select the type of OS you want:-Text Based, Graphical or Servers. Then you keep on adding softwares. In this you can upload your own logo and background. They also have a lot of options of down loadable formats.
