A Do-It-Yourself guide on creating your own social-networking site for friends, family or more
Facebook dethroned Google in 2010 as the king of Net. It has 500+ million users and has a global rank of 2 (just after Google).
Its net worth is increasing ever since big companies are investing in FaceBook.
So what does it take to have your own Facebook or any
other cool social networking website ?
Requirements:-

1. Cool Web-Hosting Service which supports PHP. I recommend using a free web service where you can
   "test" and "try" your website
   
2. A cool Idea. If you don't have an idea, you have nothing. Well, I am not talking about the Idea Telecom but the idea that
   arouses in the greatest machine of the world. You.
   
3. Me. (:-)
   
4. Little Knowledge of PHP/HTML.

We can create the website using two ways. (:-)

1. Programming Skills
   
2. Use softwares (^o^)

We'll use softwares. I recommend

1. JcowOR
2. Elgg

Both run on php.
How to use them ?Well, install them on your web-server. ($$....Some offer them as one-click-install) Go to your domain you have the software installed on, then fill out. Done. JCow is pain-stakingly simple. To install Jcow (for free :-:) go to SourceForge. Then Done. Was'nt that terribly simple. That Was.
